Amid the standoff between Delhi government and LG, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today accused Lt Governor Najeeb Jung of allotting a land for BJP office which was earlier identified for a government school.
In In his two-page letter to Jung, Sisodia said he was surprised to know that the Lt Governor has allegedly change the land use, identified for school, to benefit BJP and demanded that he should revoke his decision.
However, Delhi Development Authority, headed by the Lt Governor, has claimed that the land usage, from a "nursery school" to one for a party office, has not been changed but is in due process.

"The party which people gave only three Assembly seats has been alloted land of school. As being the Education minister of Delhi, it is my responsibility to bring to your notice any education step," Sisodia said.
The Deputy CM said that he knows that as being chairman of DDA, LG has powers to take decision pertaining to land, but Constitution has not given him such power to give school land, identified for students, to the ruling party (Delhi BJP) of Centre.
"The land where school would be built, students would play, library, lab and classrooms constructed, classes of nursery run, you (Jung) want to build office of BJP and its leaders. I am surprised that as being educationist, how have you taken this decision?" Sisodia said.
