Out of the 500 villages in Jammu division, land records of 143 have been computerised, officials informed State Chief Secretary Madav Lal during a review meeting here yesterday.
Lal emphasised the need for developing state's expertise in IT applications to extend an enhanced public delivery system with added accountability and responsiveness to the people, officials said.
He asked for computerising the remaining villages on fast track basis, besides initiating online service in the computerised 143 villages for easy access of revenue records, they said.
