Lankan court extends remand of 4 TN fishermen

A Sri Lankan court today extended till November 28 the remand of four Tamil Nadu fishermen, arrested for allegedly fishing in the island nation's territorial waters.

The Oorkavalthurai court in Sri Lanka, extended the judicial custody of the fishermen till November 28, Rameswaram Fishermen's Association President P Sesuraja said.

The four fishermen from here, were arrested on November 1, by the Sri Lankan Navy, while they were fishing near Neduntheevu and lodged in Yalpanam prison there, he said.
