As many as seven cases have come up in which Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has alloted one flat to two or more individuals in its housing scheme, Lok Sabha was informed today.
The lapses occured in the 'Housing Scheme 2014' under which the Authority had offered over 25,000 across various categories.
"DDA has informed that seven such instances (where single flat alloted to two or more persons) have come to their notice in the allotments under Housing Scheme-2014," Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo said in written reply in Lok Sabha.
He said DDA has also informed that "erring officials" for such mistakes are being identified for "fixing responsibility".
The 2014 scheme offered flats ranging from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 1.2 crore across categories--EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats and one-room apartments.
However, as on November last year, nearly one-third allottees had surrendered their flats as they did not like the location of flats or they did not find the built-up area sufficient, among other reasons.
