Larsen & Toubro bags new orders worth Rs 1,247 crore

The company's buildings and factories vertical won orders worth Rs 989 crore for construction of IT park in Bengaluru

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said its construction arm has won orders worth Rs 1,247 crore across business verticals.

"The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 1,247 crore in the buildings and factories and power transmission and distribution businesses," the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing.

L&T added that while its buildings and factories vertical has won Rs 989 crore for construction of IT park in Bengaluru, its power transmission and distribution businesses bagged an international order worth Rs 258 crore from Oman Electricity Transmission company for construction of new 132 kV grid stations.
 

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,194.75 apiece, up 1.7% from the previous close on the BSE.
