Larsen&Toubro bags Rs 3,036 cr order for Terminal-2 at airport

: Larsen & Toubro Wednesday said its buildings and factories business has won an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order worth Rs 3,036 Crore from Bangalore International Airport Limited toconstruct Terminal-2 (T2) of the Kempegowda InternationalAirport.

Once completed, the 255,000 sq. mt. Phase 1 of T2 will augment the capacity of the airport by 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA), the company said in a release.

It said the scope of work includes design,engineering, procurement, construction, testing andcommissioning of Terminal-2, including integration ofservices and utilities along with the Airport's systems,support facilities and buildings.

"Our association with BIAL has been long and we are confident of delivering this project to the complete satisfaction of our customers," Larsen & Toubro Ltd CEO & MD SN Subrahmanyan said.

 

The company said the design for Terminal 2 was articulated by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), USA - a leading architecture and urban planning firm.

L&T Construction is also currently constructing theNew South Parallel Runway (NSPR), apron and other auxiliary buildings at the Bengaluru Airport.
