Mass vaccination of children between nine months and 15 years against 'measles rubella' in the Union Territory which was scheduled to come to end tomorrow has now been extended till March 5.
Director of Health and Family Welfare Services Dr K V Raman told press persons here today that the drive was launched on February 6 and so far as many as 1.90 lakh children out of the target of 3.10 lakh children have been vaccinated in whole of the Union Territory.
He said that vaccination would be done through special drives also on Saturday and Sunday and children can turn up at the primary health centres, community health centres and also sub centres.
Children in schools including privately managed institutions were also vaccinated during the current drive and there was no adverse reaction or any complaint from the children post vaccination.
