Pooja Chhabra, the daughter-in-law of former MLA Gurucharan, who died after 32 days of fast-unto- -death demanding liquor ban and strong lokayukta in Rajasthan, today sat on a dharna over the same demand.

Pooja began the agitation, outside the Chief Minister's residence at Civil Lines which is a prohibited area under section 144 of CrPC, a senior cop of Jaipur-South told PTI.

She had placed a portrait of the late Gurucharan there, and began sit-in over her demands. But she and another woman, were later taken to Sodala police station, the cop said.

When asked whether the duo was arrested or detained, the cop said, "We are trying to convince her and settle the issue...Will let you know soon".

Senior cops of DCP-South were also present trying to resolve the matter, he said.

Pooja sat on dharna inside the police station campus, while former Speaker of Assembly Sumitra Singh and others were outside the police station supporting her cause.

Gurucharan, former Janta Dal MLA, had died in SMS hospital after his 32 days of agitation-cum-fast on November 3 here.
