Aditi Ashok pulled herself out of imminent danger with three birdies in a row in her last four holes to survive the cut at the inaugural Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open here today.

Aditi (69-73) is now two-under for 36 holes and lying tied-46th as the cut fell at one-under. Her late revival helped keep her alive in the tournament for the weekend.

Aditi, who has been in great form on the Ladies European Tour, started from three-under on the first day, and bogeyed twice in first four holes while starting on the back nine of the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi.

She turned in two-over before she birdied the third hole. A disastrous triple bogey on par-4 fourth put her in danger of missing the cut as she was one over for the tournament and four-over for the day.

Playing bravely and superbly, she birdied the sixth, seventh and eighth to get back to two-under for the tournament before parring the par-5 ninth for a day's card of 73.

Icelandic rookie Olafia Kristinsdottir remained ice-cool as she shot a red-hot second round of 66, extending her lead to three shots in the inaugural Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open.

The 24-year-old from Reykjavik refused to crack under pressure, backing up her opening round of 65 to lead on 13-under ahead of four other players.

England's Georgia Hall had a women's course record of eight-under-par 64 to share second with compatriot Holly Clyburn (66), Gwladys Nocera of France (66) and Beth Allen of the United States (68) on 10-under-par.
