The fourth patient of coronavirus in the national capital did not have a history of travelling abroad and contracted the disease after coming in contact with an infected Paytm employee, Delhi health department officials said on Monday.

The fourth patient had apparently come in touch with the Paytm employee at a public gathering, they added.

The fourth patient is currently at the isolation ward in Safdarjung Hospital.

According to the health department officials, the woman had no travel history and contracted the virus since she came in contact with a patient at a public gathering.

The patient had tested positive for the virus in the initial reports and had been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital on Saturday. Her final reports confirmed that she was affected by the novel coronavirus.

Before this case, Delhi had recorded three positive cases of coronavirus -- a 45-year-old man from Mayur Vihar, the Paytm employee who works in Gurgaon and lives in west Delhi and another man from west Delhi with a travel history to Thailand and Malaysia.
