All India Muslim Law Board member Maulana Kalbe Jawad today said that the launch of National Waqf Development Corporation Limited (NAWADCO) by the UPA government is a "drama" ahead of the upcoming polls.
"It is all drama as many Congress leaders and land mafias have illegally acquired the land. This is why the government is not doing anything and instead supporting them. NAWADCO has been formed just because election is nearing," he told reporters here.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today launched NAWADCO, a new central public sector enterprise under the Minority Affairs Ministry.
The Prime Minister said that it will help facilitate and mobilise financial resources for starting schools, colleges and hospitals on Waqf properties in a transparent manner.
