Presiding over the concluding ceremony, state chief secretary S Roy said the fair had historical importance and was famous for business activities, an official release said here.
The fair provided an opportunity for showcasing the state's culture and for trade in dry fruits, handicrafts, handloom and cross border products.
Fairs and festivals played an important role in preserving the cultural heritage of the state as these were symbols of its rich tradition.
The need of the hour was to popularise this trade fair in a big way so that tourists from world over are attracted to it in large numbers, he added.
