Actress Jennifer Lawrence says it is important for people to be comfortable with the way they look.

The 23-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who dealt with a lot of weight criticisms before making it big in Hollywood, said people should not get carried away by the criticisms about their weight or size, reported Daily mirror.

"The world has this idea that if you don't look like an airbrushed perfect model... You have to see past it. You look how you look, you have to be comfortable. What are you going to do? Be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That's just dumb," Lawrence said.

"There are shows like Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it's OK to point at people and call them ugly or fat. They call it 'fun' and they say 'welcome to the real world' - and that shouldn't be the real world," she added.

The actress feels that nowadays unrealistic expectations are being raised for a women.

"There are unrealistic expectations for women, it's disappointing that the media keeps it alive and fuels that fire. It's something that really bothers me - because I love to eat," she said.
