A lawyer was today shot dead on the premises of a local court in Pratapgarh by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants, police sources said here.
Prabhakar alias Meenu Singh (35), was shot by two motorcycle-borne youths this afternoon, they said adding he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have lodged an FIR in the connection and launched a manhunt to nab the assailants.
