The 4th Lawyers Cricket World Cup was today inaugurated in a ceremony attended by several senior advocates, sportspersons and cricketers at the Jamia Milia Islamia University here.
Eight teams from six countries -- West Indies, England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and India -- are participating in the tournament.
Two team each from Sri Lanka and Australia are taking part in the tournament which will continue till October 22.
Sri Lanka's World Cup-winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga, who is currently a Member of Sri Lankan Parliament, and Jamia Milia Islamia University Vice-Chancellor S M Sajid were also present on the occasion.
