The agitating lawyers of the Orissa High Court Tuesday picketed in front of state government offices here.
As was decided by the Orissa High Court Bar Association on Monday, lawyers in large numbers gathered in front of the Board of Revenue building, office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner and in front of the Collectorate at around 9 am in the morning.
The lawyers also picketed in front of the main gates of the High Court and did not allow the District and Sessions judge to go to his court.
After locking the main gates of these offices, the agitating lawyers sat on dharna holding banners and shouted slogans targeting the state government and the police department in particular.
The lawyers are agitating since August 29 demanding arrests of those policemen, who allegedly assaulted an advocate here on August 28.
