A section of lawyers staged a dharna near the district court complex in Mettupalayam today to protest against the suspension of their two colleagues by the Bar Council of India.
Boycotting the court proceeding, the lawyers, including a few women, squatted at the entrance of the court and raised slogans against the suspension, police said.
A total of 19 advocates from Coimbatore and Tirupur districts, who were in the forefront of ongoing Court boycott, were suspended yesterday.
