Advocates will boycott judicial work at Allahabad High Court tomorrow protesting alleged insult of lawyers by a judge, the Bar Association (HCBA) said today.

In a release, HCBA's president Anil Tiwari and Joint Secretary Suresh Chandra Pandey said they had complained against the behaviour of the judge to the Chief Justice, but "proper consideration to the bar's request was not given".

"Though we are not in favour of a strike even for a single day, but now the wheel of the chariot of law and justice is being affected on account of behaviour of a particular honorable judge," the release said.

The lawyers will abstain from work on July 21 as "token protest and will not enter court rooms", it added.
