The CPI(M) led LDF government today slammed the opposition UDF, saying it was 'unnerved' with its achievements in the first year in office.

In a statement here, the Chief minister's office said the government during its one year in office had succeeded in implementing various welfare schemes and development projects which has received wide public support.

This has 'unnerved' the opposition, it said.

The opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala is nervous, which is why a 'frivolous chargesheet' had been brought out against the LDF government, the statement alleged.

Chennithala had said the one year LDF rule was a 'total failure' and it did not have any achievements to showcase.

The government's style of functioning is of arrogance and high-handedness, he alleged at a press meet here.

The prestigious Kochi Metro, Kannur airport projects and the proposed Vizhinjam container terminal were all taken up by the UDF government, he said.

The present government was the 'worst ever' in the history of the state and would be the last CPI(M) government in the country, Chennithala said listing out the 'chargesheet' against the government.

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who had stated that the government was 'corruption free', he said E P Jayarajan had to resign on nepotism charge and A K Saseendran was forced to quit after a television channel released an audio tape, purportedly of him speaking in sexual undertones to a woman.
