Lead prices moved down by 0.23 per cent to Rs 131.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amidst low demand from battery-makers in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in August fell by 30 paise, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 131.75 per kg in business turnover of 155 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July edged down by 20 paise, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 130.55 per kg in 3764 lots.
Market analysts besides profit booking by speculators, fall in demand from battery-makers in the spot market mainly weighed on lead prices at futures trade.
