Lead down by 0.3% on global cues

Speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend in base metals overseas

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices moved down by 0.35% to Rs 113.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend in base metals overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in current month fell by 40 paise, or 0.35%, to Rs 113.40 per kg in business turnover of 185 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in February traded lower by a similar margin at Rs 114.30 per kg in five lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall in lead futures to offloading of positions by speculators, taking weak cues from global markets, and a weak trend in base metals overseas.
