Lead prices drifted 0.41% to Rs 110.35 per kg in futures trading today as speculators lightened positions, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market amid a weak global trend.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in far-month January 2016 declined by 45 paise, or 0.41% to Rs 110.35 per kg in business turnover of 9 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in December contracts shed 35 paise, or 0.32% to Rs 109.65 per kg in 1,250 lots.

Market analysts said besides a weak trend in the base metal in global markets, muted demand from consuming industries in the domestic spot market mainly kept lead prices lower at futures trade.
