Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead eased by 0.44 per cent to Rs 113.85 per kg in futures trade today in tandem with a weakening trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in November was trading 50 paise or 0.44 per cent down at Rs 113.85 per kg in a business turnover of 58 lots.

The metal for delivery the current month shed 45 paise, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 112.80 per kg with a business volume of 896 lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange and subdued demand from battery-makers at domestic markets, mainly kept pressure on lead futures.
