Lead down by 0.7% on global cues

Subdued demand at domestic spot markets from battery makers also put pressure on prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices eased by 0.75% to Rs 112.85 per kg in futures trade today in tandem with a weakening trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in July was trading 85 paise, or 0.75% down at Rs 112.85 per kg in a business turnover of 706 lots.

The metal for delivery August also fell by 80 paise, or 0.73%, to Rs 113.70 per kg with a business volume of 24 lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend in base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange and subdued demand at domestic spot markets from battery makers put pressure on lead futures here.
