Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices moved down by 1.41 per cent to Rs 132.85 per kg in futures market today after speculators reduced their holdings triggered by weak demand from battery-makers.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in January traded lower by Rs 2, or 1.41 per cent to Rs 132.85 per kg in business turnover of 4,923 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in February shed Rs 1.80, or 1.32 per cent to Rs 134.15 per kg in 1,932 lots.

Market analysts said speculators reduced holdings on weak demand from battery-makers and a weak trend in global market mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade.
