Lead prices eased by 0.34 per cent to Rs 118.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their exposures amidst subdued demand from battery-makers at domestic spot markets amid a weak trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery this month shed 40 paise, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 118.50 per kg in business turnover of 2,950 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in February fell by 20 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 119.50 per kg in 23 lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend at domestic spot markets due to sluggish demand from battery-makers and the metal's weakness at the London Metal Exchange (LME) led to a fall in lead prices at futures trade here.
