Speculators enlarged positions amid a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead futures rose by 0.22% to Rs 112.50 per kg today as speculators enlarged positions amid a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange.

Further, rising domestic spot demand from battery makers supported the upside.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February traded higher by 25 paise, or 0.22%, at Rs 112.50 per kg, with a turnover of 454 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend in base metals at London Metal Exchange and rising demand from domestic battery makers, influenced lead prices at futures trade here.
