The metal's gain in overseas market also influenced prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead futures strengthened by 0.35% to Rs 129.20 per kg today amid demand in the domestic spot market and a firming global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April traded higher by 45 paise or 0.35% to Rs 129.20 per kg, with a turnover of 186 lots.

The metal for delivery in May gained 40 paise or 0.31% to Rs 129.80 per kg in a business volume of 10 lots.

Traders said apart from domestic demand, particularly from battery-makers, the metal's gain in overseas market, supported the upside in lead prices at futures trade.
