Lead sheds 0.13% on muted demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices slipped 0.13 per cent to Rs 113.45 per kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery January 2016 contract fell 15 paise or 0.13 per cent to Rs 113.45 per kg in a business turnover of four lots.

The current month contract edged lower by 10 paise or 0.09 per cent to Rs 112.75 per kg in 170 lots.

According to analysts, a sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market mainly kept pressure on lead futures here.
