Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices weakened by 0.26 per cent to Rs 114.55 per kg in futures trading today as participants reduced their exposures.

Besides, sluggish demand from battery makers in the spot market, weighed on prices.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in February eased by 30 paise, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 114.55 per kg in a business turnover of 178 lots.

The March contract shed 25 paise, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 115.60 per kg in four lots.

Market analysts said besides sluggish demand from battery makers in the spot market, a weak trend at the London Metal Exchange on weak China trade data, mainly kept pressure on lead prices at futures trade.
