Lead prices fell 0.28% to Rs 124.80 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced holdings due to sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in December declined by 35 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 124.80 per kg in a business turnover of 27 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in November shed 25 paise, or 0.20%, to Rs 123.85 per kg in 783 lots.
Market analysts attributed the weakness in lead futures to subdued demand from battery makers and other consuming industries in the spot market.
