Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices were down 0.47 per cent to Rs 128.40 per kg amid muted domestic demand in futures trading today as participants trimmed their exposure.

Lead for delivery in September declined by 60 paise or 0.47 per cent to Rs 128.40 per kg in a business turnover of 456 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in October shed 50 paise or 0.39 per cent to Rs 129.10 per kg in 59 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in lead futures was triggered by a weak trend at the domestic spot markets due to sluggish demand from consuming industries, particularly battery-makers.
