Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices fell 0.37 per cent to Rs 159.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut down bets amid subdued demand at the domestic spot market and profit-booking by speculators.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in November was trading 60 paise down, or 0.37 per cent lower, at Rs 159.75 per kg in a business turnover of 160 lots.

Metal prices for delivery in December also fell 50 paise, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 160.40 per kg in 22 lots.

Market analysts said slackened demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, mainly led to the fall in lead futures prices here but a firm trend in base metals pack overseas, restricted losses.
