Press Trust of India New Delhi
Taking weak cues from the global market and sluggish domestic demand, lead fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 114.65 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut down their bets.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in May contracts was trading 30 paise, or 0.269 per cent, down at Rs 114.65 per kg in a business turnover of 567 lots.

Metal prices for delivery in June also fell by 20 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 115.50 per kg in 12 lots.

Market analysts said apart from slackened demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, a weak trend in base metals overseas amid concerns over disappointing Chinese economic data, led to the fall in lead futures prices here.
