Lead prices eased by 0.17 per cent to Rs 145.10 per kg in futures market today as speculators cut down their positions, taking negative cues from the spot market on sluggish demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in August declined by 25 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 145.10 per kg in business turnover of 423 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in September shed 5 paise, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 145.90 per kg in 5 lots.

Analysts said, offloading of positions by traders tracking a weak trend at domestic spot market on low demand weighed on lead prices in futures trade.
