Lead futures inched up by 0.19 per cent to Rs 156.65 per kg in futures trading today as participants raised their bets amid a firm trend at the domestic spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February edged up by 30 paise, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 156.65 per kg, in a business turnover of 348 lots.

Analysts said increased demand from battery makers in the spot market, helped lead futures to trade higher.
