Taking weak cues from the global market and sluggish domestic demand, lead fell by 0.60% to Rs 116.70 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in January down by 70 paise, or 0.60%, to Rs 116.70 per kg in business turnover of 546 lots.
Metal prices for delivery in February also fell by a similar margin to Rs 117.70 per kg in 13 lots.
Market analysts said besides slackened demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, a weak trend in base metals overseas, attributed fall in lead futures prices here.
