Press Trust of India New Delhi
Taking weak cues from the global market and sluggish domestic demand, lead fell by 0.28% to Rs 124.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in May down by 35 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 124.75 per kg in business turnover of eight lots.

Metal prices for delivery in April also shed 25 paise, or 0.20%, to Rs 124.25 per kg in 535 lots.

Market analysts said apart from slackened demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, a weak trend in select base metals overseas, attributed fall in lead futures prices here.
