Leah Remini, who recently parted ways with the Church of Scientology, is stepping back into the spotlight by joining the cast of 'Dancing With The Stars'.

The 43-year-old actress had a fall out with Scientology amid allegations that they did not like her questioning of the methods used by the controversial religion.

Remini later filed a missing person report for its leader David Miscavige's wife, Shelly, which the Los Angeles Police Department later deemed unfounded, said the Hollywood Reporter.

"No one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to," Remini had said in a statement soon after her split from Scientology.

Now entering its 17th season, the ballroom dancing competition will see some significant changes, including a shift to a single, two-hour airing per week.

According to TMZ, the other stars slated to join the show are Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Showgirls star Elizabeth Berkley.
