The Left Front today complained to the Chief Electoral Officer in West Bengal that the ruling Trinamool Congress was not following the directives of the Election Commission.

A deputation was submitted to CEO Sunil Gupta by Left leaders, where it was alleged that the directives and initiatives of the EC were not implemented on the ground level.

"We have already informed you of specific incidents of violation of model code of conduct by Chief Minister, MP Mukul Roy and proposed Trinamool candidate Abdur Rezzak Molla. We came to know from the media that show-cause notice was issued only to Molla," said the letter to the CEO signed by Left Front committee chairman Biman Basu.

He sought to know what action was being taken against Banerjee and Roy.

The party also complained that there were many hoardings in the state which violated the model code of conduct.

They also brought to the CEO's notice some technical glitches in the mobile apps 'Samadhan' and 'Suvidha'.
