Left Front leaders reopen AIFB, CPI(M) office at Dhaniakhali

Senior Left party leaders today visited Dhaniakhali and reopened the offices of AIFB and CPI(M), which was allegedly closed down by the Trinamool Congress activists.

Left Front chairman Biman Bose, CPI leader Manju Majumdar, RSP leader Kshiti Goswami, All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) leader Hafiz Alam Sairan today went to Dhaniakhali in Hooghly district and reopened the closed the AIFB and CPI(M) party office.

The AIFB party office at Dhaniakhali was allegedly closed down by Trinamool Congress activists who also attacked former state minister Naren De and seriously injured him on December 8.

The CPI(M) zonal party office at Madantala in Dhaniakhali was also allegedly closed down by TMC activists.
 

After reopening the AIFB party office and CPI(M) zonal office the Left Front addressed the people on the Chuchra-Dhaniakhali road.

Bose, who is also the CPI(M) West Bengal state secretary, alleged that the TMC has unleashed a reign of terror in the state and was forcibly closing down CPI(M) and other Left Front party offices in the state and also forcibly occupying land of the Left Front supporters.

RSP leader Kshiti Goswami alleged that the tea stalls in Dhaniakhali refused to sell tea to them as the TMC has threatened them of dire consequences if they sell tea or talk to the Left Front delegation and supporters.

The Left Front leaders said they will hit the road to protest the reign of terror unleashed by the TMC in the state.

Meanwhile, TMC Hooghly district president Tapan Dasgupta said we (TMC) will also hold a public meeting at Dhaniakhali tomorrow.
