Left parties today condemned Assam terror attack and demanded the government to strengthen the state's security apparatus to protect life and property there.
"The Politburo demands that the security apparatus be strengthened to protect life and property and all efforts must be made to identify and punish the guilty," CPI(M) said in a statement.
Noting the area, where the attack took place, is known for long to be "terrorist-infested", CPI(M) said it is "strange" that the police administration and BJP-led state government allegedly did not take adequate measures to protect life and property of people.

He asked the government to take a serious view of the inputs given by the intelligence agencies.
"The Home Minister keeps on talking about terrorism. The country has been put on alert, despite that it's happening. How our intelligence agencies are working?" he said.
