Left seek broad ambit of CBI probe in Sena chief murder case

The state government took the decision to recommend the CBI probe in the sena chief murder case in haste and amounted to surrender before the feudal forces, CPI(M-L) Liberation's central committee leader Dhirendra Jha told reporters after a conference of CPI, CPI(M), SUCI, Forward Block and CPI(M-L) Liberation here.

CBI should carry out investigation in the in totality by emcompassing a series of massacres of dalit people perpetrated by the private upper caste militia, he said.

CBI probe should further emcompass the angle of patronage extended to the Ranvir Sena and its leadership by the political leaders, parties and governments, Jha said.

 

CPI(M) leader Vijaykant Thakur slammed the state government for running away from its earlier promise to challenge the acquittal of the accused persons in Bhathani tola massacre of the dalits apparently under pressure from the feudal forces who were rearing their heads after the killing of the Ranvir sena chief.
