Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio has lent his voice to narrate 'Carbon', a documentary about climate change and effect of carbon emissions.

The '39-year-old 'Wolf of Wall Street' actor will also turn narrator for three upcoming short films based on environmental issues, 'Green World Rising', Restoration, and Last Hours, reported Us magazine.

'Carbon', which premiered on August 20, takes a look at carbon pricing around the world as a tool to reduce carbon emissions globally.

"Climate change is happening now, and humans are responsible. We cannot sit idle and watch the fossil fuel industry make billions at our collective expense. We must put a price on carbon now," says the star in his eight-minute piece in 'Carbon'.

The other three films will be released in the weeks leading up to the UN Climate Summit on September 23 this year.

DiCaprio is known to be an environmentalist. He pledged USD seven million from his foundation to the cause of ocean conservation in June.

The actor also hosted a fundraiser last month for his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, supporting environmental efforts.
