Two captured leopard cubs from a sugarcane field will reunite with their mother in Vithal village of the neighbouring Bharuch district, a forest official said today.

The cubs were captured in the cage in sugarcane filed owned by one Amarsinh Jesang, N B Vasava, range forest officer, Netrang town said.

It was the same cage in which their mother was captured on March 17 and later let off in the Shulpaneshwar wild life sanctuary, the officer said.

The cage was laid down as villagers feared about the female leopard roaming in the area. We had again laid the cage as we had learnt that the female leopard had delivered two cubs while at the sugarcane field, he added.

After 14 days, the two cubs visited the same cage and were captured. These cubs will be released soon in the same sanctuary where there mother was released and will reunite with her, Vasava added.
