Leopard electrocuted by poachers in MP

A leopard was today allegedly electrocuted by unidentified poachers near Kudra forest area, around 25 km from here, a forest official said.

"After getting the information, forest officials rushed to the spot and recovered the electric wire trap used for killing the leopard, aged around two years," Forest Ranger M P Dubey said.

Veterinarians carried out postmortem of the wild animal and later disposed of its carcass there, he added.
