Devghar range of Chakrata forest division in the district, forest officials said today.

The carcass of a five-year-old leopard, about seven feet two inches long, was found in Devghar range last night, forest ranger Jawar Singh Tomar said.

The exact cause of its death was not known as the postmortem report is still awaited, he said.

However, prima facie it appears to be a case of natural death with no injury marks on the leopard's body and its teeth and nails intact, he said.
