A leopard was today found lying on the premises of a church on the outskirts, foaming at the mouth, officials said.
Forest officials rushed to the spot and noticed that the leopard, aged around four years, was not well and was in a 'fatigued' condition.
To provide treatment to the animal, the officials decided to tranquilise it and take it to the forest office, department sources said.
Even as the officials were trying to provide water, the male leopard died and the carcass was taken to Mattadhukadu.
