The incident happened last night when Mayank was sleeping along with his father Rakesh, Police said.
The door was open when the leopard entered the house and took the boy away into the forest and preyed on him, they said.
After two hours of search, the half eaten body of Mayank was recovered from a nearby forest.
Forest officials have set up cages in the area and armed officials have been deployed in the village to keep an eye on the leopard, depending on which it will be declared a man-eater, Divisional Forest officer, M V Singh said.
