A leopard and a peacock were found electrocuted near Anamalai in the district today.
The leopard might have attempted to take the peacock, the carcass of which was hanging from a electricity line in the area under Anamalai Tiger Reserve, forest department officials said.
Claw marks of the leopard were found on the electric pole, indicating that it had climbed it to reach for the peacock, they said.
